Records research
Titles, cadastral plans and prior acts are analyzed before anyone goes on site.
Field survey
A crew measures the property and locates existing markers, in any season.
Signed and sealed document
The land surveyor issues and signs the act, delivered as a PDF to you and, on request, to your notary.
Legal surveying: straight answers
How long does it take to get a location certificate?
It depends on the cadastral file, seasonal workload and the complexity of the occupation. Include your transaction date in your request: we confirm a delivery date in writing before mobilizing and prioritize files with a notary deadline.
Is a location certificate always required to sell?
The notary or lending institution requires it for the vast majority of transactions, unless an existing recent certificate still accurately reflects the state of the property. We check with you whether your current document is still valid.
Do you handle staking when there's a disagreement with a neighbour?
Yes. Property-limit staking locates and marks your property's official limits on the ground based on the title and cadastral file, which helps clarify the situation before installing a fence or hedge. See our staking page for details.
Do you also work with developers and on subdivisions?
Yes, we carry out cadastral operations and subdivision plans for residential and commercial development projects, including required easements.
Is legal surveying available year-round?
Yes, unlike outdoor surveys limited by season, legal surveying continues twelve months a year.
